Swallows Day Parade

Last Saturday, we loaded the kids in the bike trailer and headed to the Swallows Day Parade in San Juan Capistrano.  David loved it!  

David especially loved having a little buddy in the bike trailer.  

Building

Joseph is very impressive.  David's been helping him build a porch swing.  I can't wait to see it all finished!

Pilot

I spent 5 hours at the emergency vet last night with my little dog Pilot.  It turns out that he ate something that triggered anaphylactic shock.  His gums were white, his feet were cold, and he was unresponsive.  Fortunately, the vet revived him with some shots and he is home today.  He is still a very sick puppy, but I am SO GRATEFUL that he is still alive!

Springtime is here!

I happened to look up in our tree today and found this hummingbird nest with two birds inside!   It was a splendid surprise!

Overalls

I am terrible at putting together cute outfits for my boys.  I think it's because everything usually gets crumpled and stained in the first hour and I decide not to even bother.  This past week, however, I found some really cute overalls at Target for 75% off.  I put them on James and walla!  a cute outfit!

David's "astronaut cape"

David is really into rocketships.  Yesterday, he came up with a new way to turn into an astronaut.  He walked into the kitchen like this...

And then poked a hole in the front so that it looked like this...

This amazing creativity was done without any of my help.  He did get stuck in the box, so I had to help him get out.  This is proof that he enjoys the box more than the bear.
