Historic Jamestown

The Biglers borrowed Ruth for a day while we traveled with my parents down to Historic Jamestown.  As you can imagine, James was absolutely thrilled.  His excitement escalated when we pointed out the James river.  I was touched by this place.  The sadness, perseverence, and eventual triumph of these settlers fascinates me.  Surrounded by marsh and river, it still remains a very forboding place.  Though we fought our way through a relentless wind, we did manage to meet Captain John Smith and

Pochohontos.  (In Williamsburg, Mom and I learned how to put our best foot forward).
