My favorite thing about Katie's house was waking up in the mornings to see her beautiful 3 acre back yard. I can't believe that I don't have a picture of it. She has huge trees, endless grass, a swift zipline, a sweet gazebo, an enormous garden, and 3 chickens. James was determined to pick up a chicken all by himself, so he spent about an hour chasing the chickens around the garden. He was so proud when he finally got his arms around one.
Emmy took to grandpa like a duck to water. She teased him with songs that repeated the word "grandpa" to familiar melodies. He couldn't resist her sense of humor.
This picture was taken Easter afternoon, right before grandpa left for the airport.
We spend the remaning evening exploring the Bigler woods. Of course, Jaydon and David found the largest stick (tree) they could muscle and had to carry it all the way back home.
